1/60 Big Scale ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam

This is probably one of my favorite Gunpla – my 1/60 ZGMF-X10A Freedom Gundam.  I got this back in 2005, back during a time that I was a little down and distressed.  My Dad had just survived his third stroke in late March of that year, but we had to spend almost a month in the hospital for him to recover.  What followed were several months when I had to quit one of my jobs so I could take care of Dad at home, being the only son.  I got this sometime before my birthday, and I bought not just a treat to myself, but I have this kinship with Kira Yamato, the Freedom’s pilot, where we both had to struggle with hardships both around and inside ourselves.

Gomen ne – I get mushy at times… but anyway, below is a picture of me standing in the foot of my favorite mobile suit:

Here’s the Freedom with his younger brother Strike Freedom – my 1/60 Lightning Edition, with me right in the middle of the two.

Here’s another shot of the Freedom Brothers (and me of course XD).

Readying the lightning – BLITZKRIEG ATTACK!!! (Look at the size of those rail guns! XD)

You want a piece of me? YOU WANT A PIECE OF ME???

Hopefully I can post more of this, and probably some pics with my 1/60 Force Impulse Gundam, whenever I can finish inking the Impulse’s panels.  But for now this is all for the Freedom!

She’s Coming Home…

My tita (aunt), Gigi, is coming home today, after spending twenty-two days in the hospital after suffering the severe stroke mid-August. While the left cortex of the brain, and the right side of her body was affected by the stroke, by my layman’s experience with stroke victims, I can say that my tita, with her strong personality and will, is progressing fast with her occupational and physical therapy, which to me is a good sign.

Her family, however, will still need to sacrifice a little, since my tita needs continous therapy for the next few months, as well as several weeks of feed her via NGT. It will entail my uncle and my two cousins (both guys) to rotate on their sleeping schedules to feed my tita her soft diet, which has four-hour intervals. For someone who experienced doing that with my own Dad after his third stroke, I didn’t find it that hard, but it still would eat into your usual habits and schedules. Added the other usual stuff needed for the care of stroke victims, it will be a little tough ahead for my tita and her family, but we’re all happy she survived her stroke, and is now home.

1/100 Master Grade RX-93 v Gundam

Finally completed the 1/100 Master Grade RX-93 v Gundam kit.  Since I am a amateur in Gunpla, I did a no-paint as usual, and just added some of the decals and did the panel inking.  Here are some badly-taken pics of the Gunpla.  Hope you like it!

Hopefully I can get a better camera to take better pics.
